Background
Suman Saha is a PhD student in Professor Sharfstein’s lab in the Department of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the University at Albany, SUNY. He holds a Master of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Biotechnology) from Poona College of Pharmacy, BVDU, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, MAKAUT. His research began with studying the effect of natural polyphenols for managing COVID-19 induced cytokine storm mitigation. He then worked as a Research Associate at Enzene Biosciences Ltd for three years, focusing on CHO cell lines, single-cell cloning, and upstream process development. Now, at UAlbany, his research is aimed at novel structural-RNA based CHO cell line development and metabolomic and transcriptomic analysis of CHO cells for efficient bioprocessing.
